Welcome to Coop Companion, provided by Poultry Pal LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our mobile application, Coop Companion (the “App”), and related services.
By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Coop Companion.
While Coop Companion is rated 4+ in the App Store, it is not specifically directed to or marketed toward children.
2. Accounts and Registration
Some features of the App may require you to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account, including your name, email address, and password.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. User Content
You may submit or upload content to the App, such as images of chickens, notes, descriptions of symptoms, or other information (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant Poultry Pal LLC a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, analyze, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving App functionality.
You may delete your User Content or your account at any time. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details regarding data deletion and retention.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or infringes on the rights of others
Use the App for unauthorized commercial purposes, advertising, or spam
Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or misuse any part of the App
Misrepresent your identity or access another user’s account without permission
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Coop Companion may be offered as a paid app or include optional in-app purchases, subscriptions, or a free version supported by advertisements.
All payments are processed through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit or debit card information.
Subscriptions, if applicable, renew automatically unless canceled through your App Store account settings prior to renewal.
Refunds are handled in accordance with Apple’s App Store policies.
6. Informational Use & Veterinary Disclaimer
Coop Companion provides general, educational information related to chicken care and health topics.
We are not licensed veterinarians, and the App does not provide professional veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App does not establish a veterinarian-client relationship.
Any information, including AI-generated content, responses, image analysis, or health-related content, is provided for informational purposes only. You should not rely on the App to make medical or treatment decisions.
Always consult a licensed veterinarian for questions or concerns regarding the health of your chickens.
Use of the App and reliance on its content is at your own risk.
7. Artificial Intelligence & Third-Party Services
Certain features of the App use automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to generate informational content or analyze user-provided data.
By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that your content may be processed by third-party service providers solely to enable App functionality, including AI features, analytics, and advertising (if applicable), in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be independently verified.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Poultry Pal LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, including reliance on informational or AI-generated content.
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Privacy → Delete Account within the App.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, features, branding, design elements, software, and code within Coop Companion are owned by or licensed to Poultry Pal LLC.
You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written consent.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted within the App or on our website with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
